If 1st District Cook County Circuit Court traffic matters are causing a suspension of your license, a Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County will be present, and it is possible that some matters can be heard and resolved. – PLEASE HAVE YOUR DRIVER’S ABSTRACT SHEET READY. To obtain your abstract visit an Illinois Secretary of State Driver Services facility. Click here for more information on where/how to get your driver’s abstract. Walk-in participants are welcome to obtain assistance, including driver’s abstracts, at the event. However, registration and approval is REQUIRED for matters to be heard by a Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Please note: The Court can only hear Chicago 1st District traffic cases which are 3 years old or less. Warrants will not be heard and cannot be recalled or quashed. If you were previously defended and represented by a private counsel, volunteer attorneys and public defenders cannot represent you on the day of court.
